I experienced this month that God sent me a solution to a problem that I didn't even know I had! Only once the oppurtunity crossed my path I realized the perfect timing of it! All glory to God that knows what we need even before we ask Him for it!

I have a great family, but I have found another family at Victory Christian Church! We have been through a rough time recently and we have felt the prayers of so many of our friends in Victory carry us through in this difficult time! We feel so loved and accepted - thank you Victory Family!!!

For the past few years the Gamtoos Valley has been going through a drought. Throughout this time we have been praying that this drought would not be broken with a flood but that we would just receive generous amounts of water in order to gradually fill up the dam. A few weeks ago it started to rain down heavily and we feared the worst, as our lands were full of crops about to be harvested - and our farm borders on Klein Rivier and Gamtoos River! As a result when it does flood, our farm gets hit the worst. The farmers higher up in the valley had warned us that the water was coming! DC phoned Oom Evert and they prayed that the ground would just open up for the water to drain into it. I immediately asked our friends to pray with us. Marinda told us to ask God to lead His angels to direct the water away from the farm. I remember thinking to myself that she didn’t fully understand that our entire farm was situated in flood territory, including our house - It’s a natural phenomenon; the water has to go through our farm to reach the sea! But I knew, we’ve had nothing to loose and what else could we do? So we asked God to direct the water away from the farm. To our total surprise, instead of the water rolling in the miracles started rolling in! With every other flood all 3 rivers normally overflow at the same time. This time, the water in Klein Rivier came down first and by the time Groot Rivier started coming down, Klein Rivier had had subsided. When Groot Rivier (which becomes the Gamtoos) came down it was low tide at the sea, which allowed the water to flow directly into the sea sparing our farm from being flooded! Only after that did the dam start to overflow! No other water touched our farm apart from rainwater! Oom Evert who farms close to us was also in amazement - he had no damage either. I’m still amazed at how the land opened up for the water to disappear into. Even though I prayed for God to direct the water away from the farm with a wrong attitude in my heart God answered all of our prayers and our farm was miraculously protected!
